| The Constitutional Court of Korea to Host the AACC' s Inaugural Congress |

| The first Congress heralding the official launch of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) will be held at Lotte Hotel Seoul from May 20 to 24, 2012 under the main theme, "Present and Future of Constitutional Justice in Asia." Established in July 2010 thanks the Court's leading role in the process, the Association stands as the first regional body that brings together the institutions exercising constitutional jurisdiction in Asia. At present, there are 10 members from, among others, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand and Turkey. The upcoming Congress is expected to be a good opportunity for Korea to enhance its international status as chair country that led the AACC's creation and also to promote to the world about its economic development and judicial advancement. |
